TRAVIS BLOOM

This spring Bloom was a vocal coach and rehearsal/ onstage pianist for Manhattan School of Music Graduate Opera Theater's production of La Rondine. An important year for Puccini as we remember and celebrate his glorious compositions, honoring the composer who left his legacy and transformed opera 100 years ago.

 

He is now looking forward to an exciting summer abroad where he will work alongside renowned soprano Aprile Millo at the Operavison D'Oro Academy in Italy. Bloom will be the programs vocal coach and pianist during masterclass sessions as well as performance pianist for various concerts. 

The program begins in Città della Pieve, a charming Medieval city nestled in the gorgeous countryside outside of Rome. The program will then move to Busseto, along the Strada del Culatello, the birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi.

Bloom will be heading to London for JAM on the Marsh, featuring a special composers workshop, where he will have the opportunity to work directly with composer Jonathan Dove to workshop new compositions.

In August, Bloom will be the principal vocal coach, pianist, and pit organist for Berkshire Opera Festival's main stage production of Gounod's Faust, performed in the Mahaiwe Theater in Great Barrington (Directed by Jonathon Loy and conducted by Brian Garman).
